Company History
Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape was established by Krisjan Berzins in 1997. Krisjan graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Alexandria, Virginia, where he was a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) as well as the varsity football team, swim team and lacrosse team. Krisjan went on to attend Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, where he studied international business and played football.
Krisjan’s job in high school was working on the grounds maintenance crew at the Mount Vernon Country Club. That experience was the perfect springboard to launch Kingstowne in 1997. Kingstowne started with humble beginnings but has grown into one of the most recognizable and respected landscaping companies in Northern Virginia. Krisjan, who runs the company with his wife Mayra, continues to build on the strong foundation of customer care and quality service that they established from day one. With a dedicated and tenured team, a 6-acre facility, and over 100 employees, Kingstowne remains committed to delivering worry free yards and exceptional outdoor spaces while constantly striving to see things through their customers’ eyes.
